You can transfer your mp3 files to this phone. I have a SD card which holds more than just the phone obviously, and the phone is also compatable of playing movies as well. Connect your phone via USB, go to "Tools", "Mass Storage" then "connect to PC". Now your phone is connected to your PC. In "My Computer", double click on the drive "Samsung", then "MEDIA" and drag your mp3 files into there. Then Safely remove hardware.(Its best to use the Media Player as the theme is nice and easy to make playlists etc)

If you want to put movies onto your phone, you will need to convert your avi, wmv, mpeg etc files to 3GPP2 (3g2) format. You will need a program that does this for you. I use Xilisoft Video Converter Ultimate which also converts your files into almost every other file possible. There are other programs you can use but I would recommend Xilisoft. Once you have converted your file, make sure the extension is .3g2 (all lowercase!!!!). Your phone will not recognize it if the g is in capitals.(Xilisoft does this automatically) Connect your phone to your pc (see above), go to "Samsung" in "My Computer", then "DCIM" and drag and drop your .3g2 file into "100SSMED". Safely remove hardware. You can view your movies from 2 different places. I go to "Tools", "Mass Storage", "File Manager", "Memory card", "DCIM", "100SSMED". Alternatively, you can go to "Pictures", "My Albums", "Memory Card", "100SSMED". The flaw to this is that it doesnt show the name of the file, it just has a Big "X" instead. If you want to use this method, I recommend you edit the name from here as well. Select the file, "Options", "Detail/Edit", "Text Caption". The name here will be look like to "v210926021609". Change it. To see the name you will have to go as if you were editing the name to see what it is your going to watch. Quite a hassle really. Plus for some reason, if you do it through the "Pictures" menu, you can't see it on the outer screen. Plus you can go full screen. I say do it the first way. :-)
Hope this helps anybody wanting to know about the media side of this phone

WHat i did was put my memory card in the micro adapetr thingie and put that in the latop, and i went to media player , and uploaded songs, how come they arent working? Even when i go onto mass storage it says that the files are present, they just dont work, why not! Do i need to buy a usb cable for it? or is my phone broken?
