I have an OKTA Mondo after owning Nokia 6234 & 6121 and this phone is very basic, nothing flash - i didn't find the camera that good and would have preferred to keep my Nokia's.

I upgraded from a Sanyo . I didn't find the camera very good either and was disappointed to find that unlike my Sanyo the bluetooth wasn't compatible with my car.

My phone broke down 3 times in less than a month. You think the dealer would have replaced it, but no, and finally they charged me accusing me of getting it wet, when I know darn well, I didn't! Absolute dud!

I would like to warn people away from this phone as ever since i got mine i have had nothing but trouble, the charger is an on going problem and has been fixed twice then the sound started to cut out so i coulnt hear the person calling, and now today the screen has just gone white
i am very unhappy with the telecom store as they keep charging me and say these problems are all caused by me RUBBISH i know a lot of other people have had problems also.

This is seriously the worst phone in creation...went away for repair three times, camera sucks, call quality is bad, ongoing charger issues and to top it off the Bluetooth never worked. I 'downgraded' to a Samsung Envy in the end at my own expense. Telecom may have the superior network for coverage but when it comes to the phones they really are churning out rubbish...

Hmm.... this is a VERY dodgy phone. My sentiments with all comments above. Bought one for my daughter, already been in for repair once under warranty and then died completely just days after warranty expired. Really sick of paying good money for rubbish and glad I have found this site so I can check it out before purchasing the next phone.

Like so many above I have had nothing but trouble. My phone has been in 3 times for repairs as I cant hear people or they cant hear me. Im now 9 days out of warranty and its happened again. Telecom have refused to repair or replace with out me paying for it whens its a reoccurance of the same problem. Im very ungappy with the phone and Telecoms attuide to the problem. Stay away from this phone. Am now looking at having to pay again for a new phone. What a rip of.

I use this phone for work and have had trouble with the charger not connecting properly with the phone. Now, although I can hear, the caller finds it really hard to hear me. Not good for business. Was searching for a fix but now after reading these reviews I think I will just change the phone!

Got this phone free from Telecom as my old Nokia wasn't able to roam to Australia anymore. I hate it with a passion, so much so that now I have bought a new one to replace it, I intend to run the OKTA over with the car to improve its usefullness, maybe as a paperweight. Seriously, it is a crap phone, its usability sucks, like when it is sending a txt message, if you close the cover, the send is cancelled. It is so stupid. I advise you strongly against making the same mistake I did. Their is a reason Telecom was giving these away for free.

DONT TOUCH THESE PHONES. After 4 years with my Nokia, I have had nothing but trouble. After 6 months the first phone blew up while plugged into car charger. Telecom blamed me, then the suppliers of the charger and finally replaced phone after three months. Cost me $55 to have it checked out. No refund. Second phone lasted about a month and started beeping, battery wouldn't hold a charge and again Telecom blamed me for getting it wet. Absolute rubbish. Refused to replace it but offered a cheap phone instead. Jury is out on that but it seems to work. Would deal with Okta's again or Telecom Mobile. Hope they read these comments.

Just to add to my last comment. The Nokia gave me four years great and untroubled service. Only replaced because mislaid it. It is the Okta Mondo that was a piece of junk.

I have had my mondo for over a year now and have not had any problems with it. Sound/ hearing good. Charging no problem but don't like the camera or the fact that you have to wait until txt has gone before closing. Only going to change to get a phone with a good camera.

Hey Jon I never actually managed to get the Sync software to work. I have just discovered that my Okta Mondo battery seems to have expanded, it is pushing the back cover out and just looks crap, also bit worried it may continue to expand. Of course Telecom will blame it on moisture damage, that is their answer to all our phone problems! Not keen on getting a new phone from Telecom or switching to XT as it is actually more expensive for the same sort of plan. Wow glad to get that off my chest! Hello 2degrees?

I see I'm not the only one having issues with this phone. I can't stand it but am stuck with it until May because I stupidly went on a contract with it and the phone was free. I warn others away from this phone. It takes forever to turn it on, the pxt function is incredibly complicated and frustrating. I have had the phone for 18 months and have managed to send one pxt after about 12 attempts to get it to send. I gave up on them after that. I have had trouble with the sound, at one stage i couldnt hear anyone on the other end. The camera is ok. Its just a really stupidly designed phone with zero going for it. Dont get this one.

This phone is very good for myself the camera is great for what i want which isnt much, i do how ever have problems with connecting the charger that stupid little flap that has a cord too short to plug the fone in havent had to put it in for repair as of yet after roughly a year and the other problem i have is with syncing the pc program with my computer it cant be my computer as i just brought it for 2 grand overall this fone is ok but previous comments may beg you to differ

My dad had that phone, the worst camara ever and it was always playing that annoying tune whenever you open and close the phone but my dad and i didnt know how to change it. Thank godness he's using an XT phone
